FAQs

What Should I Wear?

Please wear whatever helps you feel your best. Here are some considerations in case they're helpful: The casual rehearsal dinner is truly intended to be casual. A polo shirt, sundress, or similar would be perfect. Consider cocktail attire for the wedding. A sports coat, suit, dress, pantsuit, or similar would be fantastic. Most importantly, consider the weather and your comfort. Weather permitting, the rehearsal dinner and wedding will be outdoors. We love comfortable shoes. We're thrilled you're coming in whatever makes you happiest!

Are the rehearsal dinner and wedding child friendly?

Yes - we love kids! We anticipate at least 10 children at our rehearsal dinner and wedding. We won't have a babysitter present, but we will have yard games and coloring pages available.

Will there be a gift table at the wedding?

We are fortunate to have all the “things” we want, and we will not have a gift table. If a gift is on your mind, please consider contributing to our hotel voucher fund. See Gifts for details.

Dining Recommendations?

Some personal favorites a short drive from the wedding hotels:

Coffee Shops: Metto Coffee & Tea, Kudu Coffee & Craft Beer

Brunch/Lunch: Cru Cafe, Community Table

Quick Sit Down Meal: Gaulart & Maliclet Fast & French

Grab-and-Go: Caviar & Bananas

Dining reservations are recommended to avoid long wait times.

Want to explore downtown?

Downtown Charleston is about a 10 minute drive from the wedding hotels. If you want to explore downtown, we recommend walking around the French Quarter and Rainbow Row to get a feel for the historic part of Charleston. For boutiques and dining, King Street is a great choice.

Recommended Self-Guided Walking Tours

When traveling within downtown, you can hail a pedicab (bike taxi). If there isn't one in sight, just call (843) 577-7088 or (843) 532-8663.
